SOS LUX Lounge & Restaurant - Bridgeport

Our flagship store, SOS LUX BRIDGEPORT, will be centrally located in the booming, and rapidly expanding, Downtown North Business District of Bridgeport, Connecticut. Crafty cocktail lounge, mixology academy, cocktail caterer, and upscale lounge, SOS LUX will be the centerpiece for the resurgence of Connecticut's biggest city. 

The outlook for the future of Bridgeport is promising. Developers are finishing up the 2.8 million square-foot mixed-use, multi-million dollar Steelpointe Harbor which already features Starbucks, T-mobile, Chipotle, Bass Pro Fishing Shop, Outdoor World, and Uncle Buck’s Fish Bowl. In addition, a 120-room Hampton Inn is joining the waterfront development as well as a Cinepolis USA, the California-based 12-screen, 50,000 square-foot, 1,200-seat luxury movie theater. When completed, the 50-acre Steelpointe Harbor project is to include a 2 million square-foot mix of residential, office, and retail, development along a waterfront promenade. The city also boasts a major transportation hub just 2 blocks over featuring a ferry service to Long Island, Amtrak, Metro North, coach buses, both Yellow Cab and MetroCab, countless Uber cars, a boardwalk, and a bike path spanning from downtown to Seaside Beach & Park, the state’s largest public park which holds various events annually. This general area includes Housatonic Community College, University of Bridgeport, 780 luxury apartment units ranging from $200,000-$600,000 and/or renting from $1,000-$2,500 a month with 200 more under development, Bridgeport’s Downtown North Business District, the city's Judicial District, 4 major banks, the 10,000-seat multi-purpose Webster Bank Arena built alongside The Ballpark at Harbor Yard, and the city's concentrated heart of entertainment. In addition to these amazing enhancements of a substantial rebuilding is the reopening of The Majestic Theater, along with the installation of Dave & Buster's downtown and a casino deal soon closing just over the nearest bridge located three blocks away. The combination of these elements will provide the city with a year-round economy in which we fully intend to capitalize on. 

The area is in need of a luxurious evening experience with undisputed quality of service and excellence with an undeniable flair and professionalism Bridgeport, Connecticut has never seen. SOS LUX will feature a welcoming and an elegant lounge. Comfortable furnishings and decor with soothing warm tones. The lounge will have comfy couches and antique loveseats with a softly lit bar. It will be the perfect place to stop in for a craft cocktail made with precision, or for a small business meeting. For extra comfort and to please a large group of people, we will serve signature hors d'oeuvre platters and molecular cocktails for customers. 

The establishment will be open seven days a week. We will offer special theme nights to attract new customers to SOS LUX. Warm colors, fresh flowers, soft music, candles and amazing artwork from some of the areas most notable new artists. This will contribute to a sense of community and give new artists a chance to show their work for a diverse clientele. During the busy summer months, we will offer live entertainment on select nights in a more open and breathable environment. The setting will be a bit more fun and casual, encouraging social interactions and meetings. 

The service will be relaxed, very friendly and correct. We will hire the best people available, training, motivating, and encouraging them, and thereby retaining the friendliest and most efficient staff possible. Our management team is comprised of individuals whose backgrounds consist of twenty-five combined years of experience in food and beverage, hospitality, catering, management, finance, and marketing. 

Catering and private events will be a major part of the business. We have already generated a substantial amount of interest and established lines of communication with possible clientele. Excitement is growing each and every day and we are aware that in today's hectic society, customers don't always have time to set up that birthday party or other event that we all need and want. Now customers can leave it to pros and get the finest, most memorable event ever. We have years of experience in the catering business and know what an important client wants and needs. We will have a large menu for customers to select from, and we will offer full catering service providing everything from table settings to the desserts. We anticipate our total sales allocation to be 85% bar sales, 10% food, and the remaining 5% generated from mixology classes, merchandise sales, etc. The combined cost of sales will be 32% producing a gross profit of 68% on total sales.   

Most important to us is our financial success and we believe this will be achieved by offering high-quality service and excellent food with an interesting twist. We have created financial projections based on our experience and knowledge of the area. With a start-up expenditure of $50,000 we can generate $ 1,244,721 in sales by the end of Year One, and produce even better net profits by the end of the next year as familiarity and brand recognition continues to grow.
